The popular resort of Kavos Corfu is located on the southeastern tip of Corfu Greece, and it is considered the number one party holiday destination of the island. Kavos mostly attracts young tourists looking for fun and it has lost much of the typical Greek atmosphere found in other Corfu resorts.
Kavos Corfu nightlife is characterised by an abundance of bars and discos offering all sorts of music and entertainment, so you can go ahead and dance the night away. There are boat parties, foam parties and just street parties that spill into the next morning when people move on to after party venues. With originally mainly young British tourists there are many restaurants offering English menus and fast food, a fewer number of tavernas offering traditional Greek cuisine, and plenty of takeaway souvlaki and gyros places.
Different areas of Kavos Corfu are suited to different kinds of people so Kavos holidays are not exclusively for young people. The beach at Kavos is an impressive five miles long and the water is clean and safe for swimming, ideal for families with younger children. Oddly enough the beaches are, in comparison, relatively quiet during the day as the party-goers sleep off the fun of the night before. As you would expect there are facilities on the beach for a wide variety of water sports. Popular excursions include a visit to the nearby aqua park and boat trips around the scenic coast.
Kavos holidays continue to be a popular choice, as this resort provides all the sun, sea and sand you could ever ask for along with an exhilarating nightlife. The neighbouring resort of Aghios Petros (St. Peter's) is a quieter base from which to enjoy everything that Kavos holidays have to offer without being right in amongst the hustle and bustle of Kavos itself.
